Scrapbook along the beautiful bluffs of the mighty Mississippi River at the Four Mounds Bed & Breakfast. This is a small event with a maximum of 14 scrapbookers in a peaceful setting. When its time to take a break from Scrapbooking, you can hike through the woods along the Mississippi bluff line on a wood chipped trail.
Four Mounds B&B is a 1908 Craftsman-style mansion located just outside of Dubuque, Iowa, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Dubuque is centrally located about 3 hours from both Chicago, IL and Des Moines, IA and about 2 hours from Madison, WI.
A sit-down, family-style breakfast will be served by the Four Mounds staff in the Dining Room on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Pizza party Friday evening and lunch Saturday will be provided by Travelin' Duckie. Snacks, water, coffee, and pop are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own (feel free to bring enough to share!). You are on your own for Saturday dinner. This is your chance to check out one of the many fine restaurants in Dubuque, or you may bring your own and use the B&B's kitchen.
Each scrapbooker will have approximately 3 feet or more of work space. Lighting can be dim in the evening, so we recommend you bring a desk lamp. Each table will have electricity. There is a Michael's and a Hobby Lobby nearby if you forget anything. Travelin' Duckie will also have a small selection of items for sale.
Book by February 15th and save $25 per person! Space is limited, and is available on a first come, first serve basis.
Payment in full is required to hold your space. Stay both Friday and Saturday nights required. If you are reserving a shared room, you will need to reserve and pay for both occupants at the same time. If you would like to share a room, but have no one to share with, please contact me as there may be someone else out there looking for a roommate. Space is limited, and is available on a first come, first serve basis. Gratuity to the B&B not included.
Cancellation Policy:
- If you cancel on or before April 3, 2012, 75% of your deposit will be refunded. After April 3, no money will be refunded.
- If there is not a minimum of 10 people signed up on April 4, 2012, the event may be cancelled and you will be refunded 100% of your deposit.
